Itinerary
Start from Negombo at 8.30am. Take a 1 hour drive to Colombo.
Then take a 2 -4 hour tour of the city and take in as many sights as possible.
Take lunch. Then return back to Negombo for dinner.

Colombo
Colombo is the capital of Sri Lanka. It has a long history as a port for ancient east-west trade routes. It has been ruled successively by the Portuguese, Dutch and British. That heritage mix is reflected in its architecture. Colombo has a mix of colonial buildings with high-rises and shopping malls. In addition to this, the imposing Colombo National Museum is dedicated to Sri Lankan history. The museum borders sprawling Viharamahadevi Park and its giant Buddha.
