  • Day 1 & 2 – Negombo/Colombo – Sigiriya ( overnight stay at Sigiriya)

Day 1 & 2 – Negombo/ Colombo – Sigiriya (overnight stay at Sigiriya)

Begin your adventure bright and early with a visit to Sigiriya. A breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Site that boasts a rich cultural history. Explore a charming roof tile factory and a pineapple plantation before making your way to the Pinawala Elephant Orphanage. A popular attraction established as a sanctuary for these gentle giants. Watch as the baby elephants are fed from giant feeding bottles and make their way to the river for their daily bath. A perfect way to start to your Discover Sri Lanka adventure!

In the afternoon, prepare to be awed by the Sigiriya Fortress. A magnificent royal palace that was once home to King Kassyappa. (477-495 A.D.) Climb to the top and marvel at the stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

The next morning, after a hearty breakfast, take a leisurely bull cart ride through Sigiriya’s rural villages. Visit the Pidurangalla Temple and Pahalagama Lake. Immerse yourself in the local culture and learn about the traditions of the region.

In the afternoon, head to Mineriya National Park for a thrilling jeep safari. This is where you’ll encounter a plethora of wildlife including majestic elephants, graceful deer, and elusive leopards. End your day with a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel in Sigiriya. Recharge your energy for another day of adventure.

Day 3 – Sigiriya – Kandy (overnight stay at Kandy)

After indulging in a delicious breakfast, continue your journey to the stunning city of Kandy. En route, make a pit stop at Dambulla Cave Temple. A magnificent Sri Lanka UNESCO World Heritage Site adorned with intricate Buddhist murals and statues. You can also visit a local batik factory and a spice garden in Matale. This is where you’ll get a taste of the local crafts and spices.

In the evening, immerse yourself in the rich culture of Kandy with a visit to the Temple of the Tooth. A revered Buddhist shrine that houses a relic of Buddha’s tooth. Don’t miss the opportunity to witness a traditional cultural dancing show. Marvel at the vibrant costumes and dynamic performances.

End your day with a sumptuous dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel in Kandy.

Day 4 – Kandy – Nuwara Eliya (overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya)

Fuel up with a hearty breakfast and kick off your day by exploring the lush Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, a spectacular showcase of the rich flora and fauna of Sri Lanka. Then, set off on a scenic drive to Nuwara Eliya, one of the coolest places on the island that exudes an English spring day ambiance. While the temperature drops at night, during the day, you’ll enjoy stunning views of picturesque country cottages and Queen Ann style mansions, all testaments to the British influences that still linger in this charming town.

On the way the we will stop to see the breathtaking view of famous Ramboda waterfall, a breathtaking natural wonder that cascades down from the mountains. You’ll also get to explore a traditional Sri Lankan tea plantation and witness the tea-making process at a working tea factory. Experience a self-tea plucking session, where you can try your hand at picking the freshest tea leaves.

End your day with a mouth-watering dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel in Nuwara Eliya, ready for next day of exploration.

Day 5 – Nuwara Eliya– Horton Plains (overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya)

Your Discover Sri Lanka adventure continunes with an early start to your day with a delicious breakfast before embarking on an exciting journey to the highest and most isolated plateau in Sri Lanka, Horton Plains. This natural wonder is set amidst breathtaking cloud forests and endless grasslands, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers seeking a slice of paradise. You’ll be left spellbound by the rich biodiversity and stunning views of wild animals and a plethora of bird species that call this place home.

Take a leisurely walk through Horton Plains, which will lead you to the precipice known as World’s End, a sheer drop of an astonishing 1,050 meters. Standing on the edge of this precipice, you’ll be able to feast your eyes on the picturesque views of the surrounding hills, making it an excellent spot for capturing photos that’ll make your friends and family envious.

After a memorable adventure at Horton Plains, return to your hotel in the afternoon, and take a stroll through the local market, immersing yourself in the local culture and traditions. Savor a delectable dinner, followed by a comfortable overnight stay in the charming town of Nuwara Eliya, ready for your next adventure.

Day 6 – Nuwara Eliya– Adam’s Peak

Embark on a spiritual journey after a hearty breakfast and head towards Sri Pada, also known as Adam’s Peak. This revered destination is believed to be the place where Adam first set foot on Earth after being cast out of heaven, and also as the “Sacred Footprint” left by Buddha on his way to paradise. A pilgrimage center for over 1000 years, Sri Pada is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Sri Lanka. The best time to visit Adam’s Peak is between January and May, when the peak offers unobstructed views of the stunning surroundings. However, reaching the summit requires stamina and determination, as the ascent begins as early as 5 am. Join the ranks of early risers and make your way up the mountain to witness a breathtaking sunrise and enjoy panoramic views that will leave you awe-inspired.

Day 7 – Adam’s Peak – Kithulgala – Negombo/Colombo

On your last day of the tour, get ready for an adrenaline-pumping adventure at Kithulgala, where you’ll experience the thrill of white water rafting and take in the breathtaking scenery along the way. Kithulgala was originally famous for the classic movie, Bridge on the River Kwai, but nowadays it’s a popular destination for both experienced and novice white water rafters. After an exhilarating morning on the river, relax and enjoy the picturesque surroundings before heading back to your hotel in Colombo or Negombo in the afternoon. It’s the perfect end to your Discover Sri Lanka adventure!
