Discover the wild beauty of Yala Safari Wildlife National Park, the second largest but most famous national park in Sri Lanka, located just 300 kilometers from Colombo. As one of the most popular destinations for wildlife enthusiasts, Yala is renowned for its incredible diversity of wildlife, including the majestic Asian elephant and the elusive leopard, as well as over 100 species of birds and 32 species of mammals. With paths that wind through dense jungle, open savannah, rocky outcrops, and freshwater lakes, Yala is a biodiversity hotspot like no other.
Traverse the 150 square miles of stunning wilderness in the company of a wildlife department guide, and keep your eyes peeled for black bears, crocodiles, peacocks, and gray languor monkeys along the way. While the buffalo may be unpredictable and dangerous, their sharp horns are just one more reminder of the untamed beauty of this remarkable place.
For bird lovers, Yala East, also known as Kumana, is a paradise of rare sightings like Ceylon shamas, paradise flycatchers, red-faced malkoha, and great thick-knee, with peacocks strutting their stuff at dawn and dusk. With so much to see and experience, Yala Safari Wildlife National Park is a must-visit destination for any traveler to Sri Lanka.
PROGRAMME: Safari – Yala National Park.
DURATION : 1 Night or 2 Nights option
Day 1
Welcome to Yala, arrive at the designated meeting point near the Yala National Park entrance at 12.30 pm.
Get onboard a 4WD Jeep and be chauffeured to your campsite. After reaching the campsite, explore your surroundings and relax near the picturesque river bank until it’s time for lunch. Enjoy a typical Sri Lankan lunch with locally sourced fresh ingredients and get ready for the afternoon safari which begins at 2.30 pm.
Guests staying for 2 nights, may opt out of this safari and choose to do a full day safari the next day (more information below).
Return by 6.30 pm to the campsite which will be lit up by lanterns and a roaring campfire. Enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner around the campfire. Overnight stay at the campsite.
Day 2
Bid goodbye to the Park (Guests staying for 1 Night). Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast and depart for your next destination.
The adventure continues (Guests staying for 2 Nights) Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast and explore your immediate surroundings until lunchtime.
Enjoy an authentic Sri Lankan lunch and get ready for the afternoon safari which begins at 2.30 pm.
Return by 6.30 pm to the campsite which will be lit up by lanterns and a roaring campfire. Enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner around the campfire.
Day 3
Departure after breakfast (Guests staying for 2 Nights) Enjoy a lavish breakfast and depart for your next destination.
Special note
Guests staying for two nights can, by pre-arrangement, choose to structure their safaris as two half day safaris spread across Day 1 & Day 2 or one full day safari spanning the whole of Day 2. Full day safaris require an early morning start from the camp at 5.30 am and include a picnic breakfast as well as a delicious Sri Lankan lunch. Both meals will be served mid safari at designated picnic locations within the Park.

Game Drives
All entry permits, Yala National Park fees and government taxes for the entire stay are included.
A shared Jeep with front-facing, comfortable and elevated seats will be provided for maximized game viewing and photography opportunities.
An experienced Naturalist is provided for each jeep.
A complimentary picnic basket with chilled beverages and snacks for the safari break will be provided.
One half-day game drive per night stay will be provided, or one full day game drive is applicable for guests staying 2 nights.
The morning safari starts from the camp at 5.30 am and goes on till 10.00 am. The afternoon safari starts from the camp at 2.30 pm and goes on till 6.00 pm. The Yala National Park officially opens at 6.00 am.
Accessories such as monopods, bean bags, etc. can be provided to wildlife photographers on pre-request.
Unlimited water will be provided.

Before 21 days – 100% refund. Less bank transaction fees.
Within 15 to 20 days – 50% refund.
Within 8 to 14 days – 25% will be refunded
Less than 7 days – 100% cancellation charges.
Child Policy
0 – 5 Years – Free of charge
5 – 11 Years – 50% of Adult fee
