During your South Coast tour experience water sports, a boat ride, whale watching, immerse yourself in the historical and unique European style Galle Fort.
Day 1 Visit Bentota & Mirissa
Start your South Coast tour at 8.30 am. Pick up from the airport or your hotel. Proceed along the west coast to Bentota beach for some water sports activity (Choose from water skiing, banana ride, jet-ski, wave surfing, tube ride or speed boat ride). Special Boat tour in Madu Gaga river boat ride for 2 hours.
A river boat trip in Balapitiya is a great way to explore the beauty of Sri Lanka’s southern coast. Located in the Galle district, Balapitiya is a charming town known for its lush mangrove forests, exotic wildlife, and vibrant local culture.
A river boat tour is the perfect way to experience the natural beauty of Balapitiya. Visitors can take a leisurely cruise along the Madu River, which winds its way through the mangrove forests and provides stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Along the way, they can spot a variety of wildlife, including monkeys, birds, and even crocodiles.
The river tour also includes a visit to one of the many small islands that dot the river. Here, visitors can explore traditional Sri Lankan villages, see how cinnamon is grown and harvested, or simply relax and soak up the stunning scenery.
After lunch drive to Mirissa. Afterwards. In the afternoon rest in your beach hotel.
Day 2 Whale watching in Mirissa
Whale & dolphin watching activity starting at 6am from the harbor of Mirissa. Have breakfast onboard the boat. Whale watching in Mirissa usually takes 3-5 hours. The average duration is 4 hours. Blue whales are most often seen. In addition, you can see sperm whales, fin whales, short finned whales, dolphins and sometimes you can see killer whales and the impressive whale shark.

Return back and relax at the beach hotel.
Day 3 of your South Coast Tour – Galle / Ambalangoda
After breakfast visit Galle Fort. Galle Fort was built in 1588 by the Portuguese. It was then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century. It is a historical and an architectural heritage centre.
Afterwards, visit the Mask Factory in Ambbalangoda. This is a very popular stop in a village famous for mask making. Masks are very important in traditional Sri Lanka dances.
Our final visit is the Moonstone Mine in Meetiyagoda. Famous for its precious gems and moonstones. It is believed by the locals that this piece of land is blessed by the moon. Moonstones are grey and feels cool and smooth to the touch when polished. In addition to this, it glows like the moon.
In the afternoon return along the highway back to Negombo.
